Sex Life Canada Featured Personality

As I was causally mentioning on my Twitter, I was contributing some stuff for an article for Sex Life Canada (awesome fun site, go check them out!) and it’s finally compiled! Sex Life Canada Interview Questions

 

1. What are you currently working on?

Too many things at once! I’m just breaking into the camming industry, which I’m really enjoying at the moment.  It’s been an adjustment for sure, figuring out what to do, how to please the individual client and myself at the same time, and getting a daily routine to go with the best times to work.  I’ve been fortunate to have lots of support from a few amazing people, it’s made a huge difference in my quick rise. I’m also nurturing my geeky side through my blog, MelodyHeart.com.  I blog about my ongoing personal life, plus random topics that interest me such as sex, the Forces, and camming.  I want to be able to use my experiences to help other girls breaking into the biz, it’s not all glamour and glitz like it can look in Twitter.  And I really want to let people into my head a little more, show them what I think about off camera, things that I’m feeling and passionate about.

 

2. How does sex inspire you?

It breaks down walls.  It takes a lot of strength to enjoy the full benefits of sex; to possess the freedom and honesty to admit certain desires and limitations to yourself and others.   You really have to get to know yourself (and your body) to enjoy all that sex has to offer, and to fully experience the emotional and physical benfits of it.  Sex inspires me to constantly grow, discover myself, evolve, and push the boundaries of societal norms to achieve a healthy and fulfilling sex life.

 

3. Does sex ever inhibit your work or projects (and I don’t mean just getting in the way and taking time!)

Not at all…  I love sex and I love my job!  Sometimes I can get overworked and need a break from too much sex, but that’s just because I do need to sleep sometimes.

 

4. Do you ever see yourself moving into a different field or medium that would still involve sex?

I’d love to have my job evolve!  To be able to use some of my business, computer and other education to move beyond just being the cam girl.  To be a writer, marketer, website developer, or any other person involved in this industry would be amazing!  I know we all have to pay our dues, and I do really enjoy what I do right now, but I feel that I have so much more to offer and would like to challenge myself to push further ahead and see how far my potential can take me.

 

5. Who are your inspirations?

My biggest inspiration has always been Jenna Jameson, even before my emergence into the adult industry when I was still studying law.  In the 15 years of her adult career she has created an empire from scratch… that has to be motivation for any female regardless of the industry she pursues!  My other biggest source of inspiration is my partner, who will remain nameless for the time being.  He has always followed his passions, given his all, and pushed past the norms.  He inspires me to pull out the strength within to follow my dreams, trust myself, and believe that anything is possible.  But there are many more inspiring people I discover every day; anyone that doesn’t settle for where they are, challenges the status quo, and pushers farther ahead than they have.

 

6. Where would do you think your sexual persona “lives”: in your brain, in your heart or in your pants?

Definitely my heart, that’s what drives me in everything I do.  My passion and love for another person is what drives me to explore life sexually, and allows me to rip off our pants and turn off my brain for a change.

Moving… again

I’m moving, yet again.  But seriously, this will be the last time for a long time, it better be.  I like to move, to change up my scenery and set up a new house.  Not to mention go through the process of getting rid of unused and useless items and get new stuff for a new place.  Let’s face it, it’s always fun to shop!  There’s an IKEA trip planned as well as one to La Senza to fill up a new dresser full of sexy new lingerie… I can’t wait to show it all off for you!!  Or feel free to buy anything off of my wishlist for me to put in my dresser and take off for you another time.

And as awesome as the one side of moving is, it’s the time it takes to pack, unpack and switch all the necessary things that I despise.  The amount of work I have to miss due to actually moving, not having internet hooked up.   I also found it’s a HUGE pain in the ass when somewhere says they’ll be open so you can get boxes and supplies and they’re not even open when you actually show up… how rude! I’m really looking forward to getting set up so I can stick to the schedule I would like to keep and maximize my play time.

So as of right now, I have all of the 3 boxes here packed, keys to the new place and a master plan of how to execute the move.  Now all I need is a whole bunch of (empty) boxes, some muscle with trucks, and some internet hook-ups, again.  Oh, plus a few pizzas and beers for the after party!

Red Fridays – Support the Troops

Supporting the Troops!

For anyone that has ever been in my shows or knows me in real life, you may have noticed two things: I always wear red on Fridays and I have a set of dogtags that I never take off.  Yes I will admit that I am totally a sucker for a man in uniform, but the attraction is more than pure aesthetics.  The reason for my devotion to the troops in that I find it so sexy and endearing to sacrifice so much of your life to stand up for and defend your country and other countries that need to be stood up for.  All of the qualities that I find sexy in man seem to be possessed by the people that serve in the Forces.

 

Many people have no idea what being a service member entails… it is comprised of service, compassion, dedication, determination and more.  Just the task of joining the Forces is not the easiest; with basic training, trade certifications and a lot of blood sweat and tears, someone can finally proudly state that they are a member of the Forces.  The real test of yourself and strength comes down the road… having to say good-bye to your family for months on end, spending weeks intensely training and practicing drills for work-ups at the start of deployment, and keeping up to date with all the knowledge and skills you have acquired.  It’s a constant commitment to put yourself on the line daily when scheduled to work and be ready to work with a moments notice at any given time when you are ‘off ‘.

So Red Fridays is the day for us to support those who support us.  It’s a day to think about those who give so much, and far too often, do not get what what they have earned.  It’s also a day to recognize that it’s from the support of people like us that they can find that extra ounce of energy or motivation to push harder and be better, one Friday at a time.  The following is the mission statement taken directly off of the Red Fridays website:

This post does not go out to the person controlling the camera, but more so to the person at the other end of the virtual tunnel.  Sure you can talk about me being your daughter, ass to mouth, wearing a diaper as a grown up, etc.  But there is a line that is crossed on certain statutory and individualistic issues, especially those that have constitutional rights, amendments and personal freedoms attached to them… nevermind country bashing!

The next comment after this short dialogue was also quite provocative, referring to slavery which was abolished with the passage of the thirtennth amendment to the United States Constitution in 1865.  You should know better than getting into a discussion like this with a law student, really now…

But the comment that really fired me up was calling Canada a frozen barren wasteland.  Really?  Honestly?  Umm, pull out an atlas or a map that contains thermographic analysis and you will see that not all of Canada is covered in ice.  I do not live in an igloo or have a pet penguin… I seriously did not think this could come from the country just south of us (no offense to any Americans, I know this individual is a poor representation of your collective minds).

So on to my view of what should be a meaningful etiquette lesson for those visiting a chatroom… talk about all the dirty nasty raunchy fetish stuff you want, that’s awesome you are empowered to do so.  But please avoid discussing topics that have been outlawed, hurt people (and I’m not speaking “oww two dildos in my ass” kind of hurt) or completely and idiotically dis the chathost’s country!  It is not internally provoking to the point of making me horny.  It is just plain rude and of bad taste.  That’s what craigslist rants or other various forums are for, not a webchat chat with people that want to have some play. So the journey of being a new webcam girl is not as I’d expected.  I have felt like a fish out of water, awkward, frustrated, embarrassed  and like that 16 year virgin starting to get naked in front of a boy for the first time.  Yeah it can feel that weird… but once you break down the walls of whatever preconceived notions and internal barriers existed, it’s high flying into a fun world of joygasms, making my way through school and supporting myself cumming with people like you!

I had never sought out the world adult entertainment, it sort of fell into my lap and I just kept rolling with it.  When you look at it without bias and judgment, people in the biz are some of the most real and open people you can ever meet in your life.  I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know many awesome people in the industry, and when I found myself without work and my savings nearly eaten up by bills, a friend offered for me to join her company and start doing some work for them.  Needless to say I was very hesitant at first, coming from a “proper” upbringing it was not a profession that had ever crossed my mind as being something that I would ever do, let alone actually enjoy doing and feel accomplishment in.  But a short few months later I am actually starting to do a complete 180 on it all.

I didn’t work as much as I wanted to when I first started.  My flatmates were a drag and I could only work the odd hour here and there when they would be sleeping or out of the house.  And in a house full of students with conflicting schedules it was very hard to get any sort of consistency that is needed in this field.  So once I finally moved last month I was able to start setting hours solely around my schedule, working whenever I wanted to after a day of school and studying, I was starting to get more comfortable with what I would be doing.

Then the late nights, irregular schedule, and RedBull/Rockstar abuse wore me down and I would up too sick to work for a good week… another annoying set back.  And the next fateful error was to stop seeing myself as an individual but as just another cam girl stripping down for a buck.  I started comparing my physical stats to other girls, tiny little waifs with big boobs and tiny bodies.  Looking at all the hot lingerie sets and outfits they had compared to my sexy little things that I wore on a regular basis.  I got the “why am I doing thing” and “how can I compare” sillies and started to lose my confidence in myself and the potential that I had.  After getting over whatever germ had invaded my body, I had self doubt invade my head, which now seems way worse in hindsight.

And one night it just clicked.  I got a huge confidence boost from a very dear friend in the biz that totally put it all in perspective.  Sure I’m not like a lot of the other girls on there, but not every guy goes onto a camsite looking for a supermodel to talk dirty and cum for them.  Some of them actually want to find someone with a personality, something a little different that they can connect with and a pleasurable experience with.  Sure looks don’t hurt, I don’t doubt I’m pretty, but I accept the fact I’m under and over the “perfect” 36-24-34 female figure.  Even with the newfound confidence, I still see areas for improvement and  I’m busting out the P90X and religiously aching on a daily basis now, completeing a cleanse to rid my body of crappy food (as well as mental debris) and am sticking to the outside aisles at the grocery store :P

And the next shocking barrier to overcome was the actual art of camming… being flirty and seductive, talking dirty and sticking things you know where, and there, and there… but with self confidence in the big things will come confidence in the abilities needed to perform well on cam.  There are the odd requests that I’ve heard, like, really odd requests that I won’t even mention, but they comfort me in a sort that no matter how freaky or “immoral” I may ever be for what I do, there’s always someone weirder than I could ever be.  So after feeling really awkward for weeks on end and like that 16 year old virgin all over again, I’ve just let myself go with it.  I think of hot and steamy nights of sex when I’m asked to talk dirty, let my personal fantasies come out and compete with myself to pull out a bigger better and wetter orgasm than the last time.  Now I can say I am nearly 100% comfortable with talking dirty, putting and you what’s in the you know where or there, and just opening up and letting a real personality shine through for all the people I get to meet.

So here I am today.  Able to work whenever? Check! Over my bug? Check!  Money to eat and pay bills again? Check! Confidence in the bag? Triple check!!!  The nice part about when all thing line up is that it can not only be an incredibly satisfying job (who doesn’t love to cum for hours, honestly?!?) but the pay is really great!  And as far as I hear the sky’s the limit and it only goes up from here.  And I say “Are you kidding me?  This is already fantastic! I wish I could have started sooner!” So to anyone that wants to start camming, it’s a great way to have fun while paying the bills, is starting out and shaking in their boots, it will get better, push through it and watch your self confidence soar, and to all of those other girls nailing it hardcore out there? I’m coming!!  It’s my time to start shining in the big leagues and I’m soo looking forward to it.  And to everyone out there, have fun and get the most of life regardless of which side of the cam you’re on.
